We own and operate a Certified Organic farm named Lewis’ Hen House & Veggie Farm. We have 3.3 acres in Casa Grande, AZ. where we grow our fruits and vegetables. We are Certified Organic through the California Certified Organic Farmers and the National Organic Program which is regulated by the United States Department of Agriculture. We also have an assortment of hens that give us fresh eggs.     Our mission is very simple: “We believe in giving you, the customer, the best product we can at a fair price”. We sell our produce and eggs at farmers markets and currently are selling at the Roadrunner, Ahwatukee, and the DC Ranch markets. In March, we’ll also be selling at a market in Casa Grande. We enjoy farming and are learning something new everyday. Its fun and challenging work but you never get a day off.    We are inspected yearly and all our produce is pesticide free and grown in organic soil. We grow with organic seeds and use only organic fertilizer. It’s a bit more expensive this way, but a lot healthier for us and our planet. If you find an occasional hole in a leaf or a bit of dirt, this is normal and shouldn’t be considered a defect.    We have approximately 150 hens but only about 50 are laying eggs right now. The other 100 are just 2 months old but will start laying in July. All our hens are cage-free, free ranging, and we never give them growth hormones or antibiotics. We collect the eggs every evening, clean and store them at 40’F. Since we sell out every week, our eggs are always farm fresh and if stored properly, will keep in your refrigerator for, at least, 5 weeks.    All of Hendersons enjoy being at the various markets and getting to meet and talk to all of our customers. Over the past few years, we’ve had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful people that we hope will continue to shop with us.
