   Farmers Markets Vendor Information

"Direct Producers" Looking to grow Your business?
Call 623-848-1234 for Market information

Vendor Types: We welcome direct producers: growers grow their own, food producers prepare their own food products meeting all health department requirements, and crafters craft their own items.

Vendors are predominately local: Our markets are Arizona supportive. Commercial, manufactured, wholesale, resale, used or multi-level products are not allowed

All products subject to review. No haggling or discount sales are permitted.

In general these are Arizona Supportive Markets, especially with respect to grower and food vendors. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of Market Management.

The Setting:
Market Nature:
All markets are outdoor one day regular (weekly) events. Markets are held regardless of weather; except during recognized holidays such as New Years, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or by community preemption. We also on occasion sponsor Special Event markets which will be announced.

Spaces:
Typical vendor space is 10’x10’, assigned by the market manager, who will attempt to meet the needs of the vendor while maintaining the appearance and viability of the market. Double spaces 10’ x 20’ and up are charged for the additional space. The market manager has the final determination in vendor location. Vendors who arrive late may lose a previously assigned location. Regular vendors have seniority as far as assigned spaces.

Displays:
Vendors provide all their own display, set up, and personal accommodations such as chairs, tables, signs, drinking water, and shade. Most vendors use free-standing canopies or EZ-Ups, any color is acceptable. Vendors may also use market umbrellas, or none at all. (Vendors without shade are usually considered to be hobbyists by the public) Display areas should include a cover. Sun and wind can be a problem. (both free-standing tents and market umbrellas should have weights in windy conditions) Electricity is not available in most markets. Pets are allowed in all of our open air markets.

Facilities:

Admission and Parking:
Admission is free to the public. Ample free public parking is available at all markets. Vendor parking is free or validated. In some markets vendors are asked to move their vehicles to an adjacent area to accommodate customers.

Market Participation Requirements:

Set up begins an hour before opening; teardown must be complete an hour after market close. Vendors are responsible for their trash.

New vendors may register by phone (You will need a Vendor Agreement Form) at least two days prior to market participation. Market management must be notified two days before market opening of attendance or absence. Here is a link to the Vendor Agreement Form page for a downloadable/printable form.

Insurance:
Product liability insurance in the amount of $2,000,000.00 is required for all food vendors in our markets and special events. All food vendors should have such insurance in any case and both the facility in which the market is held and our market group must be indemnified on the insurance as "Arizona Community Farmers Market Group" and "Farmers Markets Support Services" Your insurance agent will know how to do this.

Market Membership Registration and Market Participations Fees

Market Membership Registration Fees:
There is a membership registration fee of $50.00 (for a new vendor), with an annual returning vendor registration fee of $35.00 beginning the first of October each year.

Market Participation Fees:
Market participation fees are for each market day. These participation fees help defray the cost of organizing and promoting the markets but do not necessarily cover all the expenses incurred in running these markets.
